However, the latest news from Apollo Bingo Barrow is a sad one. On Saturday 1st April, the club will closing its doors permanently.
The closure, although very disappointing, was expected. In November 2022 plans were submitted to Barrow Borough Council to convert Apollo Bingo in Hollywood Retail Park into a Smyths Toys store.
An Apollo Bingo Barrow spokesman confirmed the abrupt closure:
“Apollo Bingo Barrow will be closing its doors for the last time on Saturday Evening, April 1, our last bingo session.
“Come and join us in our last days as we celebrate many fabulous years serving the people of Barrow.
“We’re going to miss you loads and want to thank you for all of your support over the years.
“Saturday Evening, April 1, although our last session, you can still join us online at majesticbingo.com.”
