At a time when even the UK bingo news is dominated by the coronavirus, it's good to read some positive bingo-related news stories.

Whether it's Bongo's Bingo laying on free shows for NHS heroes, or Galabingo giving free online bingo games to the over 65's, the team at BingoDaily can't get enough good bingo news in such troubled times.

Buzz Bingo, one of the UK's largest bingo operators, is supporting foodbanks across the UK by donating over 20,000 Easter eggs and chocolates during this festive but troubling time. The company says it wants to support those in need during the crisis.

The chief retail officer at Buzz Bingo, Peter Brigden said:

“Now, more than ever, British communities need to be pulling together to support the most vulnerable.

“We’re pleased to be able to help, even in a very small way, by offering chocolate treats at Easter for those using foodbanks.

“We hope it will bring a little cheer during these unsettling times.”

The chocolate treats consist of Malteser Bunnies and Galaxy Enchanted eggs and have been greatly appreciated by the Food banks and their visitors already. Carol Bostridge, Project Manager for Lewisham Foodbank, said:

“We would like to thank Buzz Bingo for its donation of Easter chocolates. It has certainly been a challenging few weeks for the recipients of our food packages, and for our volunteers. It’s great to know we can offer everyone an Easter treat in these troubling times.”
