After being slated for closure in February, the Mecca Bingo Doncaster venue was given a stay of reprieve amid a spate of closures which saw seven long-established Mecca Bingo halls close their doors for good at the end of last month.
Bingo Daily can now confirm that the popular bingo venue is to be taken over by rising retail star Club 3000.
The largest independent bingo retailer with 23 venues across the UK confirmed the takeover in a statement shared with Bingo Daily.
The statement read:
“Club 3000 Bingo can confirm it has bought the Mecca bingo club in Doncaster and will be opening their doors to customers as Club 3000 Bingo on 5th April 2023.
The operator is delighted to bring the Club 3000 brand to Doncaster as they have been looking for an opportunity in the area for a while and look forward to working with all the staff and welcoming new and old customers through the door.”
Recently, posters have been popping up at the club telling entrancing players about the takeover of the venue by Club 3000.
Now, as of next week, bingo fans in Doncaster can continue their bingo fun, thanks to Club 3000, who are gaining fast on the 2nd largest retail operator – Mecca Bingo.
