Well, no one told that to one lucky dabber who, 24 years after scooping a whopping £107,000 playing bingo, Kent took home a second life-changing win, claiming the National Bingo Game Jackpot at the Kings Bingo Venue in Sheerness, worth a cool £50,000.
The delighted 75-year-old Bingo regular who wishes to remain anonymous, has been playing the wonderful game of bingo ever since she was 18 and was introduced to the game by her mother when they both used to go to bingo in Sittingbourne.
The Sheerness local, who has three children, six grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren was playing bingo on Monday 11th December at King’s Bingo, when things took an unexpected and exciting turn: they called ‘house’ on the National Bingo Game and bagged £50,000 in the process.
With no immediate spending plans beyond making it a Christmas to remember for her family, the jubilant winner will see in the New Year before deciding what to do with the money. She said:
“Anybody who’s thinking about going to Bingo, just go for it! I always enjoy playing. It’s not just about winning, though it’s lovely when you do, it also gets me out of the house.”
