After Club 3000 Bingo Hyde Road recently celebrated a big jackpot win by a much-loved regular, this time, it was the turn of BJ's Bingo Leigh to enjoy a £50,000 winner.
The winner, who wishes to remain anonymous, is a retired local gentleman who has been a regular at the popular bingo venue since he was introduced to the club by a friend in 2019.
However, on the evening of Tuesday 18th July the delighted dabber attended the club on his own, without his usual companion and was not expecting anything more than the usual warm welcome and relaxed fun evening out at the bingo. Little did he know what was in store for him that evening!.
After calling house playing the hugely popular National Bingo Game, the winner bagged himsef a cool £50,000. Despite his regular buddy not being there, the jubilant winner intends to share some of the prize money with his friend as well as treat himself to an amazing holiday.
Winner ‘Thrilled' With Jackpot
The happy winner said of the win:
“I couldn’t believe it when the caller confirmed how much I had won! It took a few moments for it to sink in, but then I was thrilled. My usual bingo buddy, who introduced me to the club and bingo, was not with me when I won, but I will be sharing some of my winnings with them.”
“I am a relatively new bingo player, thanks to my friend, who encouraged me to come along and give it a go and I am glad that I did! It’s a great reason to go out and whether I win or not I always enjoy myself.”

“Our lucky winner is a regular at the club, who loves a bit of bingo and usually comes with the friend who introduced him to the club. On Tuesday 18th he decided to come along on his own.
“Everyone at the club was playing the National Bingo Game and as it is the big money bingo game everyone was listening carefully to the numbers called. When the winner made their claim so early in the game lots of people were expecting it to be a false claim, but they were wrong.
“The caller validated the claim, confirming that he had won not only the club prize but also a £50,000 jackpot prize. The club erupted into applause and cheers, congratulating the winner.”
