The number may be surprising, but nearly 80% of gamblers don't read the terms and conditions when gambling online.

Gamblers will want to ensure they understand explicitly any online casino and online bingo promotional T&C's. Often restrictions are attached to offers, such as bonuses and free spins, and being informed will help make an informed decision.

List of Key Terms

Read through our below list of current vital terms, take note of any you don't understand or need further clarification on.

Minimum deposit: The lowest deposit amount required to claim the promotional offer. Minimum deposit amounts typically range from £5 to £20 but can reach as high as £ 100 and sometimes more. Higher values are usually only required for dedicated high-roller promotions.

Max Bonus: Bonus amounts will be either a reward for a specific deposit, e.g. deposit £5, receive £10 bonus, or be advertised as a percentage. 100% bonus up to £100 means that the bonus amount you can receive is capped at £100. Even if you deposit more than £100, you won't receive more than £100 bonus.

Wagering: Wagering or playthrough requirements is another way of saying how much money you must stake. It's the combined total amount of bets you must play to qualify to withdraw your winnings. It's important to note whether the wagering calculation is based on A) (deposit amount + bonus amount), or B) Just the bonus amount.

Expiration date: All promotional offers must have an expiry date, and bonus and free spins can also expire. If you have not completed the playthrough before the expiry date, you may lose any winnings as well as the bonus.

Maximum Bet: A max bet rule will dictate the highest bet you can stake. Betting above this number may result in forfeiting any winnings made from the promotion. Always check the total bet amount before your first play session.

Max winnings: If you see a max winnings condition, this means your winnings will be capped at this amount. The gambling site will reclaim any amount above this.
