Making the global bingo news over the last 24 hours is the story of a man in the US charged with rigging bingo games for $10,000 in prizes.

Police in Monroe, Louisiana issued a warrant for 43-year-old John Cook who was allegedly caught on camera manipulating “Bonanza Bingo” games.

It is claimed that Cook handpicked the balls he wanted to play and hid the winning ball until he was ready to finish the game the way he wanted. The warrant states that Cook did this four times which won thousands of dollars for three people, one of whom is his sister.

CCTV captured Cook speaking with the third winner twice before the winning games whilst two winners were seen handing Cook money following the conclusion of winning games.

Cook was booked into the Ouachita Correctional Center on charges of felony theft and failing to appear multiple times following his initial arrest on June 29th. Bail has been set at $11,000.
