A Taunton lady became the latest lucky bingo player after scopping the National Bingo Game Jackpot at Mecca Bingo Taunton last week.

Harriet Bee 28, from Taunton in Somerset called ‘House' on the £50,000 Jackpot after attending the bingo club with her parents.

The mother of two who occasionally attends the Corporation Street venue on Saturdays could not believe her luck as she claimed the life-changing amount.

“I couldn’t believe my luck. I was so shocked.

“At first I didn’t realise how much I had won, it was only because other customers started to whisper and then the excitement got louder and louder and then it was announced.

“At first I felt shocked. I couldn’t continue playing, I was shaking and I couldn’t speak properly.

“My dad had to call my partner and tell him.

“It’s such a life changing amount. It’s really going to help towards our wedding next year.”

A delighted Harriet is due to marry her fiancé in May 2020. She intends to put the money towards covering the cost of the wedding and to use the money to move to a new house.
