As one bingo door closes, another bingo door opens. When Buzz Bingo closed its Bingo club at the Kassam Stadium in Oxford in July, as one of 26 Buzz Bingo clubs closed due to the pandemic, bingo fans in the university city were left aghast.
Today, there is some positive bingo news for Oxford residents to cheer. Just a stone's throw away from the Kassam Stadium, Club 3000 has applied for a bingo licence for a fully-purposed bingo venue at the Kassam Leisure Complex. No issues are expected in obtaining the licence.
Club 3000, which bills itself as the ‘largest independent bingo operator in the UK' hope to open the bingo venue by February 2021. Should the license be granted, the Oxford venue will Club 3000's 20th bingo venue in the UK.
‘First-Class Bingo Experience'
Brian Fraser, the owner of Club 3000, said of the Oxford opening:
“We are delighted to extend our portfolio of clubs to 20 and bring the Club 3000 brand to Oxford in February 2021.
