A lucky dabber in Leeds is celebrating this week after bagging the Bingo National Jackpot of £50,000. Just one week after reporting a groom-to-be being the fourth national jackpot winner at the Mecca Bingo in Stockton, it was the turn of Shirley, 58 from Leeds to take the glory and the £50,000 jackpot prize.

The delighted Shirley has been a patron of the Stonebridge Lane bingo venue, now part of the Buzz Bingo network, for the last 23 years. The £50k jackpot won at Buzz Bingo, Leeds over the weekend is the now the seventh time a Buzz Bingo venue has claimed the giant haul.

The General Manager of Buzz Bingo Leeds said:

“Shirley’s win has been a hot topic of conversation in our club.

The customers are genuinely happy for our winner and the atmosphere around the club has been amazing.

We will be hosting a party night to celebrate our winner with the other members.”

Shirley Celebrating Mammoth Win

Shirley beat the thousands of other bingo players nationwide in just 16 numbers. The good-hearted Leeds resident has even offered to share her winnings 50-50, with her good friend Dawn who accompanied Shirley on the evening to remember. Shirley said of the life-changing win:

“I’m so grateful to have won the £50,000 jackpot.

“The most I have ever won is £2,500 so I couldn’t quite believe it.

“I still find myself shaking when I tell people about it.”

Buzz Bingo are planning to throw Shirley a party to celebrate her win.

“A huge thanks to Buzz Bingo, the staff were amazing when we won and we were treated like superstars.

“I very much look forward to splitting it with my friend, Dawn, who was with me on the night. I’ll be treating myself and my family to a skiing holiday in Sweden or Finland next year.”

Launched in 1986, the National Bingo game offers bingo hall attendees up and down the UK, the opportunity daily to win the top prize of £50,000.
