Today is a very special day for the residents of Bridgwater. As well as being ‘Freedom Day' in the UK. Today is the day that Mecca Bingo Bridgwater finally reopens.

Mecca Bingo Bridgwater was one of two Mecca Bingo clubs that didn't reopen along with other Mecca bingo halls in May. Catherine Warrilow, Head of PR & Content, Mecca Bingo, said in May:

“Bridgwater has been delayed a little longer than we hoped because of some routine maintenance work that lockdown slowed us down on – that should be open this summer. And Luton, which we are actually giving a bit of a makeover to and will be open towards the end of the year – both will be well worth the wait and in the short term, we have a free bus running from Bridgwater to Taunton and Luton to Stevenage.”

Well, after a long absence, the popular bingo hall will reopen its doors on Monday morning, and is visitors are in for a treat or two.

The Penel Orlieu bingo hall, a beautiful old building in the heart of Bridgwater, will welcome bingo goers with a free glass of bubbly and a free tote bag for the first 60 visitors that show the brand new My Mecca app upon entering.

Mecca Bridgwater manager, Callum, said of the reopening:

“We’re thrilled to be able to confirm the reopening of our club on July 19, to coincide with England’s ‘freedom day’.

“We’re a friendly face in the community – that’s a really unique part of our brand and heritage – we know and love our customers very much and we’ve been very active in the area when it comes to community initiatives.

“And this year as it’s our big birthday, we’re coming back in style with more to offer than ever – we’re expecting this to be the year of bingo.”

What better way for the residents of Bridgwater to celebrate Freedom Day than with a game of bingo! It's great to you have back Mecca Bingo Bridgwater
