A total of £55,000 was distributed at the club's popular ‘Firecracker' event. One lucky punter, Morgan McLaggan, a member of the Teeside Bingo Hall for two years, already scooped £2,000 early in the evening, before seeing him walk away with a further £10,000 share of the £55,000 jackpot.
Another winner of a tidy £10,000 was Malcolm Kallaghan. Malcolm said of the evening:
“I was hoping I’d win a share of the huge jackpot but didn't for one second think it would be as much as £10k.
“It was certainly a shock, but I’m excited to split the winnings with my bingo buddies, my mum and neighbour. I’m also really looking forward to my trip to Egypt.”
A third named winner, Christina Moss, a member of the popular bingo venue for the last 15 years, planned to spend the money treating her family and booking a Mediterranean cruise for later in the year.
The club manager at Mecca Stockton Steve Jones said of the evening:
“We had a fantastic turnout for our Firecracker event, with an extra 400 customers through the doors thanks to the big jackpot prizes up for grabs.
“We’re always thrilled to celebrate with our winners, especially when the prizes are life changing.
“We can’t wait to welcome them back in to see if their lucky streak continues.”
