Whilst the two largest retail bingo operators Buzz Bingo and Mecca Bingo, have been closing clubs, Britain's third-largest bingo chain – Club 3000 are opening them.

This week has seen Club 3000 provide an update on two new bingo clubs. With the Club 3000 Wigan venue to open at the end of this month, the bingo operator announced plans to open a Club 3000 Kilmarnock branch at the end of the year.

Club 3000 Wigan Opens End of June

Club 3000's new state-of-the-art club at Robin Park in Wigan follows a £2 million investment which is creating 40 jobs. The former buzz bingo which started out life as a Gala Bingo, is located just a stone’s throw from the town's DW Stadium.

General manager Karen Gilligan said what bingo goers can expect at the new Club 3000 Wigan venue:

“Customers will be amazed at what the club has to offer. It has 1350 luxury seats, 1000 free parking spaces, a sports bar, arcade, new catering facilities, the latest electronic tablets, and boards and the largest interactive bingo screen ever seen”

“People can expect a friendly and efficient service. We are looking to recruit the team shortly and I am sure some players will see some familiar faces in our new team.”

“Established players should give Club 3000 Bingo a try if they haven’t already, come and see what we have to offer. We do our best to give our members the best experience in bingo with great value all round and top-class prize money.”

Club 3000 Bingo operates a total of 21 UK bingo clubs, nine of which in Wigan's surrounding area. Founded by Brian Fraser in 2004, Club 3000 employs more than 700 people nationwide and started life in Coatbridge in Scotland. Brian said he was delighted to be adding Wigan as a new location.

Club 3000 Kilmarnock

Announced this week is the plans to open a Club 3000 at the site of the former Buzz Bingo in Kilmarnock. One of the 26 Buzz Bingo's closed during the Summer of 2020, the Club 3000 Kilmarnock is set to open its doors by the end of the year.

Following a a £3 million investment, forty jobs are to be created with a pledge by the Club 3000 owners to invest in creating a “luxury venue with the highest prize money at the lowest cost.”

Brian Fraser said of the Kilmarnock venue: “We are delighted to extend our portfolio of clubs to 22 and bring the Club 3000 brand to Kilmarnock.

“We already have six clubs in Scotland including our flagship club in Coatbridge, North Lanarkshire.

“This is a great venue and community, and we are looking forward to offer customers a fabulous bingo experience in a first-class, modern, and secure environment.

“We promise something special to look forward to – both for regular bingo lovers and new customers.

“We acquired the building last month and will be refurbishing it to the highest standards and hope to be open by Christmas 2021.”
