Whilst Mecca Bingo Stockton has been dubbed Britain's luckiest bingo club, we may have a new contender for that title.
The Mecca Bingo Beeston club enjoyed a rare double celebration this week, as two lucky bingo players won £15,000 jackpots in the space of just one week.
The jubilant winners of the National Bingo Game both asked to remain anonymous. However, one winner who has been a member of the Queens Road club since it first opened said:
“I can't put it into words, and it doesn't feel real.
“I’m planning on putting the money towards moving house – the win couldn’t have come at a better time.”
The National Bingo Game is played across more than 270 bingo clubs from all over the UK. As well as the Mecca network, its played at most of the big bingo networks including Gala, Majestic, Beacon, Castle and Carlton.
In order to win a jackpot prize of £50,000, a player must complete a full house in 16 numbers or less. Full house with 20 numbers or less will win £1,000. Calling house with 24 numbers or less will win £100.
The General Manager of Mecca Bingo Beeston, Rob Lees said of the unusual double-winning week:
“It was great to see such a longstanding member of our club step up and claim the life-changing prize. I still don’t think it has sunk in.”
“To witness someone who has been so dedicated to the game win a £15,000 jackpot was really special – the whole club was delighted, and it really added to the atmosphere of the night.”
