When it comes to Bingo News, few towns dominate like Barrow. Be it a Barrow bingo hall opening, a charity box theft or a big win at the Apollo bingo, Barrow, the BingoDaily team have followed the activities of the Bingo Barrow scene. Well, now there's some more good news emanating from the North-Western town.

Apollo Bingo in Barrow has been awarded a rating of five by environmental health officers from Barrow Borough Council.

Achieving the highest score for food hygiene delighted the management and staff at the popular bingo venue saying:

“We are proud to have received a level 5 food hygiene rating in our inspection.”

The ‘full house' from the environmental health officers was particularly pleasing as the Apollo bingo hall previously only scored a four for its food hygiene rating in their last inspection.

Siobhan Lines, Supervisor at Apollo Bingo, said:

“We're ecstatic about the results of the food hygiene inspection.

“A lot of time and care goes into ensuring our kitchen and eating areas are to the highest of standards.

“Hopefully it shoes to the public that we offer the best quality food to them.”

“We're always aiming to get the best score we can,”

“We wanted to top that four we got last time and are absolutely over the moon we have.

“I think it goes to show how hard the staff work to ensure the facilities are of impeccable hygiene.

“It's great to be able to say everything was perfect and there was nothing wrong.”

The five-star award follows a very recent launch of a new food menu at the Apollo bingo Barrow hall. Miss Lines explained:

“We always get great feedback from our food and our new expanded menu offers great choices.

“Now we do chicken wraps, build-your-own-burgers, a breakfast muffin.

“There's a lot more choice for people.”
